Papilio fornicarus

I know Szayel isn't technically a butterfly, but I decided to create a butterfly based on his Fornicaras form, and I have named it Papilio fornicarus, the Octava Swallowtail, a species of butterfly in the Papilionidae family, endemic to Hueco Mundo.


It's a swallowtail because Szayel swallows tail because the shape of the wings suited his Fornicaras form. The wing markings on the lower wings are similar to his glasses, and many butterflies have eye-like patterns on their wings to scare off predators.
